Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani strongly condemned the child-killing Zionist regime’s brutal attack on Al-Taba'een School in Gaza’s al-Darj district that killed and wounded hundreds of civilian refugees there while they were saying morning prayers.
Kanaani said the cruel act is at once a flagrant instance of genocide, war crime and crime against humanity.
Kanani stressed that the continuation of the insane attacks of the Zionist regime against Palestinian civilians and the brutal massacre of women, children and the elderly, especially the heinous attack by the regime on the Palestinian refugees living in the Al-Taba'een School on Saturday morning, once again proved that the apartheid Israeli regime does not comply with any of the rules and regulations of international law nor does it respect moral and humane principles.
He added that the only way to deal with this cruel regime is for Muslim and freedom-loving nations to take firm and decisive action to support the Palestinian people and their legitimate struggle and resistance against the Israeli occupation and aggression.
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson emphasized that the crime that happened in Al-Taba'een School is a clear and obvious example of a threat to international peace and security. Kanaani demanded that the UN Security Council take immediate and effective action by invoking Chapter 7 of the UN Charter in order to curb and stop the unlimited heinous crimes of this child-killing regime.
The Foreign Ministry spokesman pointed to the responsibility of the international community in preventing and countering the crimes of the Israeli regime, saying world countries and international organizations, especially the members of the UN Security Council and other international institutions, including the International Criminal Court and its prosecutors, once again face a moral test and they must hold the perpetrators of genocide and apartheid and those who order it, that is the officials of the bloodthirsty Israeli regime, accountable for committing such huge crimes and atrocities.
